The illustration depicts one of the Wellderly study participants with the background of DNA molecules. The brain is partly ghosted in order to emphasize not only the physical, but also cognitive fitness of the participants.
The Wellderly study, conducted by the Scripps Translational Science Institute, researches the genetics of aging without medical interventions. All participants are 85 and older with no history of chronic disease.
